May Day

It's hard to believe tomorrow is May 1st. April flew by! Nolan started swimming lessons, which he loves. He's a little hesitant about the back float, but he does really well. He is in the pool with two instructors and six or seven other children. Nolan is one of the youngest ones, but he keeps right up with the other kids.

William is doing well, too. He is adding new words to his vocabulary and is capable of doing more activities. He loves climbing on all the playground equipment and sliding down the biggest slides.  He is turning into a little toddler before my eyes. It's bittersweet.

Last week we found a lost cat in our backyard, who looked exactly like Tigger. I gave it to animal control and it shortly went home, but both boys wanted to keep it so badly. A cat may be in our future at some point. William kept meowing and pointing at the door when the cat left. He also said, "Go bye," which was his first time putting go in a two word sentence.

Nolan loves to say, "That was awesome!" Last week he splashed my mom with water and then said it. We had to laugh, even though he was being a stinker. Nolan also likes to tell us to calm down. The other day I told him I was proud of him and he hugged me and said that I'm his best buddy, which melts my heart.

Other than that, not a whole lot is new since the last post. So here are some pictures!

Easter

We had a very busy Easter weekend, but it was a good one. On Good Friday we went down to Jason's parents' for the night. Alissa and Derek had everyone over for a fish fry. Nolan and William had fun playing on their playset. Inside their shop, Nolan loved riding his trike in circles around one of the trucks. He and Blake went round and round in circles. The boys stayed up late that night, but crashed hard.

The next day we hung out at Rich and Colleen's and had a yummy early Easter brunch. Rich and Colleen hid plastic eggs around the yard for each boy to find. William and Nolan had a blast finding the eggs; it was so cute! We had to keep re-hiding the eggs for them to find.

On Easter we went to brunch with my family at the Embassy Suites (catered by Woolley's). It was delicious as usual. After we went to my parents' house. The boys had fun playing with Abigail and Anika and going to the park. All in all it was a good holiday weekend!

Swimming lessons started up again for Nolan. This time we don't get in the pool with him; he is in the pool with other kids and the instructors. He did very well and loved it! We were proud of him. He is one of the youngest in his group.

William hasn't been sleeping well (again!) for the last week. I'm clueless as to why this time. He shouldn't be teething. It's too early for two-year molars. He just got over a cold, so I don't think he's sick. So hopefully it's a quick thing and he starts sleeping well again soon. Despite his lack of sleep he is still his sweet, happy, cuddly self.

Just cruisin', looking for chicks.

I helped with N, but Nolan wrote olan all by himself

Nolan and I went to Frozen on Ice. It was really good!

He just had to get the snow globe. :)
