Happy Halloween!

Jason and I are back from Las Vegas! We had a wonderful time. We had an awesome fountain-view room at the Bellagio on the 27th floor. It was so much fun just looking out our window and watching the fountain. We could tune to a certain tv channel and listen to the music that went with each fountain show. It was cool! We didn't just stay in our room watching the fountain, though. We went to Fremont Street and went zip lining from end-to-end, about ten stories up. It was awesome!! We ate at many delicious restaurants, including Serendipity (NYC based, known for frozen hot chocolates), BurGR by Gordon Ramsay, and Delmonico Steakhouse by Emeril Legasse, among others. We saw Beatles Love cirque du soleil for the second time, and it was phenomenal. We want to see it every time we go to Las Vegas. We also saw Britney Spears! So much fun. We walked around to a bunch of different casinos, trying out the slots. We had some luck, which was really exciting. All in all it was an excellent vacation.

We did miss our boys like crazy though. I burst into tears the second I walked into my parents' house and saw Nolan grinning up at me. I swooped him up and he clung to me, and also teared up. My mom handed William to me and he also clung to me and rested his head on my shoulder. He didn't move for the longest time. The boys also gave Jason huge hugs, grinning like crazy at him. It was so good to see them again!

The boys had a lot of fun while we were gone, though. For four nights they stayed at Jason's parents'. They had lots of fun going on walks, playing outside, jumping in leaf piles, and playing at McDonald's play land. They gave Nolan an early birthday present - Buzz Lightyear that talks and lights up! He loves it. The last full day they went to my parents' house. There they had fun going on a walk and playing at the park. They are definitely lucky boys to have such loving grandparents!

Everything was back to normal this week. The past few days Nolan has been fighting a virus, which hasn't been fun. He's been doing a great job using the potty, though!  Despite being sick, he did manage to trick or treat a little tonight! Jason took Nolan to houses on our block and he did a great job. He loved it! William will join him trick or treating next year.

Superman shirt and undies with spider socks... Works on Halloween!

Buzz and Woody hope everyone has a Happy Halloween! They also hope nobody's poisoned the water hole.

Couldn't resist dressing Liam up in Nolan's penguin costume. :)

Officially Fall

Where has the time gone!? I can't believe it's mid-October! We have been having so much fun the past few weeks enjoying fall. We've gone on lots of walks, played at parks, jumped in leaf piles, visited Gustavus for Homecoming, and gotten together with family and friends.

Both boys are doing well. William has gotten two new teeth (bottom), with the other top two coming soon. His fun personality is showing more and more. He can be such a ham! He loves cracking us up. He also is such an animal lover...don't know where he gets that from! Haha. Still such a momma's boy! He is so sweet though.

Nolan has been doing well, too. This week was rough with back-talk and tantrums, but hopefully this rough patch will pass soon. We have started potty training, which has been going pretty well! He has been wearing underwear during the day and diapers at night since last Wednesday. He has only had a handful of accidents. He has been doing extremely well with telling us when he needs to go potty, and he sits down and goes. We have had success with pooping on the potty, but he isn't comfortable with it yet, so we've also had some accidents with that the last few days. However, we are so proud of Nolan! I have been able to take him places and been confident that he won't have an accident. He has great bladder control and is so good about telling us when he has to go. We just have to get him comfortable going #2 on it now.

Jason and I leave for Las Vegas on Wednesday. We are bringing the boys to Jason's parents on Tuesday night. They'll stay with them until Saturday, then my parents will take them until we fly home on Sunday. I'm super excited for Vegas, but already don't want to say goodbye to the boys. I'm going to miss them so much! I know they'll have so much fun with all the grandparents, though. I'm worried about Liam though, since he's such a momma's boy. Hopefully he'll do ok!

Cute things Nolan has said:
You look pretty, Mommy.
You're the best Mommy.
I need pri-a-y (privacy)! Said while on the potty
I am sad we are not going to the mall.
Stinky Pete! Said to someone who is being grumpy or naughy (in Nolan's opinion)
What does the fox say?
There's a snake in my boot!

Jason and our new nephew John Robert :)

After a rough week of back-talk and tantrums, we had a good Friday
